Celebrant Code of Ethics

As a Life-Cycle Celebrant®, I adhere to the Celebrant Institute and Foundation's Code of Ethics and Professionalism in all of my work with my clients.

This means that I will:

Serve you with respect, sensitivity, and professionalism, and provide all services in a timely manner.
Offer you a personalized ceremony that includes your loved one's story, as revealed through conversations with you and with others that you wish to include.
Ensure that you have complete choice of and final say over the ceremony, and ensure that my personal beliefs are immaterial to this process.
Encourage you to choose and approve a ceremony that is satisfying to you.
Respectfully provide a ceremony that is as accurate as possible in all respects, including the pronunciation of the names of people, places, and things.
Perform the ceremony in a professional, prepared, and appropriate manner.
Provide a service that recognizes the unique personalities of your loved one, and is sensitive to your needs, wishes, values, philosophical and spiritual beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
Not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, or sexual identity or orientation.
