I have called Vancouver Island home since 1983, raising my family here, working within the community, and deeply appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds us. I’m fortunate to live in the Cowichan Valley with my partner, Diane, and our cat, Winnie.
My happiest place is on the west coast beaches of the island. There’s a timeless sense of peace in standing by the open ocean, with the vast horizon before me and the feel of sand beneath my feet. It’s a place where I’ve brought both my joys and my sorrows, and it always offers me a sense of calm and perspective.
For nearly thirty years, I’ve worked closely with people navigating life’s emotional highs and lows. Whether in moments of celebration or times of challenge, I bring a calm and caring energy to my work, ensuring that others feel heard, safe, and valued. I also handle difficult situations with diplomacy and compassion.
Known for my finely tuned listening skills, strong organizational abilities, reliability, and sense of humor, I’m able to bring together diverse ideas and needs to create ceremonies that speak authentically to those involved. Acceptance and inclusion are at the core of everything I do.
I believe in creating ceremonies that are not only memorable but also deeply personal and unique. Every ceremony should reflect the essence of the individuals or families involved, telling their story in a way that feels true to who they are. Currently certified for funerals and end-of-life celebrations, in March 2025 I will also be certified to officiate weddings.
I will listen carefully to what matters most to you, offer creative ideas and options, and work alongside you to ensure that your ceremony brings warmth, depth, and connection. It would be an honour to work with you in creating a ceremony that truly expresses your wishes and celebrates what is most meaningful.
